ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dana Suskind, MD
Dana Suskind, MD, is a Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, Founding Director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program, and Founder and Co-Director of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health at the University of Chicago. A recognized thought leader on the national stage, Dr. Suskind has dedicated her research and clinical life to optimizing foundational brain development and preventing early cognitive disparities, with an emphasis on helping parents and caregivers leverage their power as brain architects. Her pioneering research extends into the critical intersection of artificial intelligence and early childhood, exploring how emerging technologies can enhance—rather than replace—the pivotal role that caregivers play in building healthy young brains.
Jenny Radesky, MD
Dr. Radesky is the David G. Dickinson Legacy Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her NIH-funded research examines the use of mobile and interactive technology by parents and young children, parent-child relationships, and child social and emotional development. She authored the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) policy statements "Media and Young Minds" and "Digital Advertising to Children," and is co-medical director of the AAP Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health. She led the first behavioral team at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission from 2024 to 2025. Her books include the textbook Dixon and Stein's Encounters with Children, Fifth Edition, and Connecting: Raising Kids in the Digital Age.
